Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu

Your family adventure begins with a smooth arrival into Chengdu. Your driver will be waiting to transfer you to your comfortable, family-friendly hotel. The evening is yours to relax, settle in, and perhaps take a first gentle stroll to sample some of the city's famous snacks, easing into the pace of your Sichuan exploration.
Day 2: Panda Keeper for a Day in Dujiangyan
Dujiangyan · Chengdu
Today is dedicated to a dream come true: becoming panda keepers! Travel to the Dujiangyan Panda Base where, under the guidance of expert keepers, your family will participate in preparing food, cleaning enclosures, and learning the stories of these beloved bears. It's a hands-on, meaningful conservation experience culminating in a special international volunteer certificate for each young participant. Return to Chengdu in the evening.
Day 3: Scenic Train to Songpan & Highland Birding

Swap the road for rails on a picturesque train journey towards the Tibetan Plateau, arriving in the historic town of Songpan. Stretch your legs exploring its ancient city walls, a testament to centuries of cultural exchange. As the afternoon light softens, your guide will lead your first family birding session in the meadows near Chuanzhu Temple, searching for flashes of colour from some of China's most beautiful endemic birds.
Day 4: Into Jiuzhaigou & The Golden Monkeys

Depart Songpan for the world-renowned Jiuzhaigou region. Your first stop is the Baihe Reserve, where you'll walk quietly into the forest to observe families of wild Golden Snub-nosed Monkeys—a magical encounter with these charismatic primates. (If the reserve is closed, you'll visit the stunning travertine terraces of Huanglong instead). The evening offers an optional cultural performance.
Day 5: The Fairy-Tale Lakes of Jiuzhaigou

Spend a full day immersed in the breathtaking beauty of Jiuzhaigou National Park, a UNESCO site famous for its turquoise lakes. Walk easy boardwalks past crystal-clear, multi-hued lakes and powerful waterfalls. Day 6: Journey to the Wild Heart of Tangjiahe

Bid farewell to Jiuzhaigou and journey deeper into the wilderness, following river valleys to the remote and pristine Tangjiahe National Nature Reserve. Known as a premier destination for wildlife in China, the change in atmosphere is immediate. After checking into your lodge, a briefing will prepare your family for the forest adventures ahead.
Day 7: Forest Tracking & A Magical Night Walk

Today is a true wilderness immersion. With your expert guide, set out on gentle trails to look for signs of Tangjiahe's residents—Takins, Tibetan Macaques, and the shy Tufted Deer. After dinner, the adventure continues safely with a guided night walk using red-light torches, revealing the fascinating nocturnal wildlife such as Leopard Cat or Owls.
Day 8: Return to Chengdu
